A spokesperson for Union LA commented: Dëhasse is a true pioneer in the European techno and progressive scene and has achieved much credible success under many different guises whilst also previously in his career launching many world class Electronic music stars of today. Dëhasse is a true visionary of Electronic Music and we are delighted to bring his new exciting concept “Dëhasse With Friends” to Union LA.

Dëhasse Added: Union is an awesome space to stage a serious Electronic Music Event and myself and my team are very much looking forward to the event on Black Friday.

The launch of “Dëhasse With Friends” coincides with the promo launch of the new Dëhasse single “Reaction” and the brand-new YouTube Channel: Dehasse.TV.

Further forthcoming Dëhasse releases this fall include the new melodic techno stormer entitled “Dorian Gray”, appropriately named after the late great and legendary 90’s Techno club in Frankfurt, Germany.

In the past 4 years Dëhasse has enjoyed a string of hits on Electronic Music Portal Beatport and in 2012, Dëhasse mixed the theme tune to the London 2012 Olympic Games “Harder Than You Think” with heritage Hip Hop act “Public Enemy”. The track reached top 5 in the UK National Chart.

Over the past 2 years, Dëhasse’s music has found its way into mainstream sync and advertising campaigns with his track “Mountains We Can’t Climb” being featured by leading US clothing brands Roxy Clothing, Fox Head Clothing and French shoe brand Etines AB&A on their respective advertising campaigns. The track was also featured by Insomniac Events on their Escape Halloween trailer.

Discovery Sessions 005 w/ Wutam

Welcome to our fifth edition of Discovery Sessions, thank you very much for stopping by and taking a look at all the upcoming talent that we have to share with you. This week edition comes to you from a DJ/Producer named Wutam out of Florida with his new Funstep sound! But i’ll let him tell you more about himself down below, enjoy and let us know what you think! Cheers!

So Cal Edm Events (SCEE): Thank you for taking the time to answer this interview let’s start off simple what is your name? What do you go by? Are you from southern California? If not where are you from? And what genre of electronic music do you play?

Wutam (W): Hi my name is Matt and I go by the stage name Wutam. I am originally from Florida and have been in SoCal for about 7 years. I make and play all kinds of BassMusic – Dubstep – Trap – Breaks – and some Glitch Hop – I call it Funstep.

SCEE: How long have you been producing/Djing? What inspired you to become a producer? Who is your biggest inspiration? Do you have any residencies locally?

W: I started Dj-ing in 1994 and my first record came out in 1999 – Rokit – I had dj’ed for a while and the next step was to produce. After hearing the songs that I was playing and having my own ideas on how things should sound,  I just went for it! My biggest inspiration at the time was Dynamix II ;the kings of Bass. Currently my time is spent in the studio, however a local residency would be something that would be fun in the future.

SCEE: What has been the biggest festival/Club you’ve played at? How was that experience? Was it memorable? What would you change?

W: I played at the Love Parade in San Francisco and it was amazing, a sea of people that Ill never forget, one of the most memorable places that I have played at, I wouldn’t change a thing unless I could make the festival last longer!

SCEE:  Where do you plan on being in five years career wise?

W: Putting out monster tracks and having collaborations with top level producers on my label Prism Recordings, playing festivals, clubs, and sharing as much music as I can.

SCEE: A lot of people will be reading this article, if you could tell them something about yourself to maybe support you what would you say?

W: If you like to have fun and bounce to great music – stay tuned to Wutam and Prism Recordings and keep your ear out for what I call Funstep.

SCEE: We have a great deal of followers following us, what would you tell the people who are going to hear this to expect from your mini mix? What do you want to them to take note of?

W: Id tell them get ready to bounce – its exciting and fun, like watching a really good movie.

SCEE: What do you do outside of music?

W: There is something outside of music?  I do enjoy going to the movies, playing with my cat, making funny videos, and eating sushi!

SCEE:  What do you think of the current scene? Do you think new people need to freshen up the scene?

W: I think the current scene is doing very well, new people coming into it is what keeps it fresh. Everyone has new ideas and new perspectives and that is what the scene needs to thrive.

SCEE: Finish this sentence… Music is

W:  … everything and everywhere for us to enjoy and make memories to remember for a lifetime.

SCEE: Lastly we’d like to thank you for participating, for anyone interested in following you more where can they do so?

W: Check out my soundcloud at soundcloud.com/wutam

my Instagram for funny pics and current events @mattwutam

and my Facebook @wutamofficial – shoutout to you guys for doing this and having me – Chelsea @PrismRecordings – my amazing teachers at Dubspot and Studio DMI – the producers who put everything into making good songs for us – and the people listening. I hope you enjoy my mini mix for SoCal EDM Events – Wutam out!

Discovery Sessions Preview!

Welcome to the preview of our newest segment here at SCEE (So Cal Edm Events) entitled Discovery Sessions, we wanted to give you a brief preview on what is being launched this Monday before it’s actual launch! This has been a idea I’ve had for over a year at first it started as a music Monday’s where I would share new songs with all of you that I’ve discovered and where worthy of sharing but, after time I realized there were many places and areas where one could do that already including but not limited to beatport own website and other sites dedicated to the music. So I erased that idea from the board and I went back to work, as time progress I almost lost hope into launching something at all until I struck an idea at an event here in Los Angeles. I was at a small party with lesser known dj’s and producers who were trying to expose there music to the masses, I started to think to myself “Why isn’t there a platform for all these producers and aspiring Dj’s to share the music they make to the masses besides working the circuit?”

And that’s when it clicked, why couldn’t I do something like that? Why couldn’t I reach out to all these people with hopes and dreams of becoming big time producers and dj’s and give them a platform to share the music they produces/play/love, from house, trap, trance, french house, deep house and all the in between genres that “EDM” has evolved into. So we got to work, we reached out via our various social media platforms and asked from the smallest dj’s to the one who open clubs like Exchange LA, Sutra OC, Avalon and more. Not surprisingly we received numerous emails and replies with interest and that’s where Discovery Sessions comes in!

We will be showcasing one dj/producer every week and allowing them to show you what they have and what they bring to your ears! I invite you to listen with an open mind and enjoy what they have to offer in various sub-genres of the electronic music spectrum! We hope that with this you’ll find someone new that you will enjoy and hopefully support as they pursue their dreams of sharing their music to the world! With that being said please follow our sound cloud page and youtube pages and both will carry each discovery session each week! Cheers and thank you for stopping by and reading this preview! Much love and here is to a new segement! Cheers!
